Skill based one tees are whole another thing, yes those go in. Those don’t have anything to do with the ability bans tho😅 And at the moment, those timed ones are not showing in most of the games so you don’t know which player has the timed one tee option. And like I said, maybe the best options is to keep the golden traits banned and allow the silvers, so the golden trait animations would not be in the game🤔

Yea I agree that it is possible to score onetee without the perk, it just doesn’t happen very often. But you said that pass doesn’t affect that, it is incorrect, it has an big effect. And I’ve also seen many onetees with perfect positionings miss the net or fumble some other way. With all that being said, I think the biggest thing is that onetee does no longer pose any threat, so it does not have to be defended (outside the slot) almost at all. This means that teams can collapse in front of the net. When there is a significant onetee threat a bit further out from the slot as well, teams need to move more on defence which opens more opportunities around the offensive zone, which makes the game more enajoyable to play and watch. I of course respect you opinion about weather or not perks should be in the game but the ”with perks goalies have no chance to carry their team” is simply not true. There are many goalies who can save most of the onetees outside the slot with perks and that is a fact, not opinion. The last sentence in your text can be said like you did, or it can be said like this also ”people want perks be gone from the game to keep defending and goaltending easy and no need to put effort on…” etc. If you ask me, I don’t want perks to be in the game so the scoring would be easier, I want scoring to be diverse, goals with different plays, close and further from the net, and so on. Perks, they make it possible. I think only silver abilities could be the best option which most people could get what they want😊

I get your point and I understand it can be sometimes frustrating to feel you can’t save some shot, but I still think that it is not about any individuals getting rewarded, it is about team getting rewarded. If your team defends poorly and leaves one timer wide open, it should go in at least something like 80% of the time (and what I have tested, without any traits it is way belov that). There is still a chance for goalie to save it, it is just a tough task as it should be and of course can’t save them all. in the game there are also things like suicide passes where the recieving player is going to lose the puck almost every time and can’t do anything about it, and there are shots which are given by defence and which goalies are going to allow almost every time, it is just how a competitive team play should work. I have seen plenty of great saves throughout the year on one timers and well played situations, it just doesn’t happen too often with shooting traits. If we think about how to make this game as competitive as possible, creating great chances as a team should get rewarded. And still, most of the shots are not imposible to save, it creates wider skill gap among goalies as well (and I’m certainly not meaning that you are bad or anything, I have seen you making those great saves also 😊). As a skater, I don’t want to see my shots going through goalies, I just want them to go in when there is clearly a lot of room in the net. That is why I think gameplay without any shooting traits is not the way to go in competitive gaming. But that is of course my own opinion and I respect every other opinion as well and I have seen plenty of great comments here from every aspect, keep them coming 😊

I agree with this, gameplay without abilities also seems to decrease overall tempo of the game since there is not as much threats😅 Also, one thing I want to mention that I have seen more passes and weak shots straight to logo go in in two days than the whole year combined, no one wants to see those🙄 Lets keep ECL like it was in this winter season when almost no one was complaining about garbage goals for the first time in many years🙏

Yea I get what you mean, but equipping some of the traits actually requires that stat to already be high, for example if I want to use truculence I have to put def awareness and stick checking to almost minimum because truculence needs hitting to be at least 84. And I think taking points from speed to increase shooting would not be an option for the majority of players and that’s why I think having some shooting traits is a must. This rounds up to the same conclusion I said before; banning all traits would be a bad option. But that is of course my opinion and everyone has opinions of their own😇

Well, when playing competitive, everyone wants the best possible chance to win so they end up copying something or everything from top players builds it doesn’t make the game ”broken”. Actually I think we have not seen this much variation in builds in a long time. For example forwards; someone uses trucu and someone stick ’em up and someone might use even beauty backhand, someone uses golden cq and someone uses golden 1t and someone uses golden puck on a string or even stick ’em up if playing with PMD. And these were just the first that came to my mind, there might be even more. Also the players types can vary at the moment, someone has sniper, someone has dangler and someone has PMD or even a two-way forward, because you can get different traits for each player type. This leads to a conclusion that nothing is really that broken at the moment, because if something was broken like trucu or tipper few years back, 95% of the players would be using it with almost no exceptions. If something was broken there would basically be one copy of each positions build which everyone who wanted to compete for a win would use. This being said, banning all traits would actually lead to a lot less variation with no trait to choose from, everyone will keep looking at top players builds and making their owns based on those. And after a while there would be 1-2 identical copies of a build that everyone would use.

I mean that when each team has only 1 vote they have to discuss what is their mutual opinion, not just what everyone likes/dislikes. Also (I of course do not have real data) I think most of teams that would vote would base their vote on the overall picture of playing/watching the game, not just ”I can’t get past defender using trucu, lets ban trucu”😅 And when it comes to me, I don’t mind trucu eventhough I get hit with it. Overall, I don’t see banning/allowing trucu being a game breaker one way or the other. But when it comes to some traits like 1t allowing teams to score elsewhere than right in fron of the net I’d love to see that not being banned in order to keep variation in scoring. But that is just my opinion of how I see the thing
-
I totally agree with this. Unlike with big tipper for example, there are many things you can do to prevent opponent from scoring with 1t and if you ban 1t, defence does not worry about that which will lead to more passive defence. But with this I have to disagree, isn’t it the whole point of voting that everyone can give their opinions, not facts. If voting was based on facts, there would have to be 100-0 result every time because no one could vote agaist the facts
-
I’m not sure why there is a need to change anything when almost no one is complaining at the moment🤔 of course tipper has to stay banned and trucu and stick ’em up divide opinions and I think it could be either way for those. But banning all traits would take away the variety of scoring goals and making great plays unrewarding😅 But at the end of the day I think the most fair way would be to organize a vote for each division where every team would have 1 vote, then the games could be played the way the majority agrees.

Strongly agree with this. Banning all traits would just make teams collapse more on defence and go for more forces and rebounds on offence, who wants to play or watch games like that?😅

I’m a bit curious how are these decision made? And why there cant be different rules for different divisions? Also, has big tipper for example ever been a trait someone considers balanced, how would that be different now?
