Well from France we are pointing those problems for more than a year but who cares about the complaining of 25 players in western Europe....

We've been limited to playing a handful of German and French teams in public matchmaking for roughly 2 months now. Basically when this thread started. The beta and ~ first two weeks were working fine.

We are facing this situation for almost a year here in France........ And it is worse since NHL20

Good evening all !

I'm Yann, from France. I take a moment to write to you all on behalf of the french community (and probably more).

I'm here to know how many of you are facing the same problems than us from Switzerland, Germany and more coutries that are not Sweden or Finland, and if we can try to ask EA Sports to find a solution (sweet dream but who knows....).

Since a couple of months and still now with the new NHL20, we face very serious difficulties with the machmaking (mainly during 6v6 but also sometimes during 3v3). First we have to wait loooong minutes and minutes to find an opponent. Then, when we find it in local area we play very (very) often against the same teams (on NHL19 we played something like 50 times against Ice Aliens for instance). If we find a game in extended area, then we have to deal with very serious ping issues.
Ping issues are a huge problem during ECL for us in France, but we try to accept that.....

Well I don't like complaining, but too much is too much. Last week (don't remember what day) we stayed 25 minutes in the lobby without finding any opponent (local or extended search). Yesterday, 4 hours on the game, 4 games played ! ! We spend more time waiting in the lobby than playing, it can't be serious !

My objective is to know how many people are facing those problems and, trough NHLGamer, speak with EA Sports to find a solution. We can not stand dealing with those problems.....

Each in turn, one team then the other was prevented by an error message that resulted in the disconnection of one or more players before the game.
Counted up to six consecutive unsuccessful attempts.
We obviously all tried to go out and return to the locker room, but without effect most of the time.
Let's add two disconnections during the match on a player whose connection is absolutely impeccable, in the end it took 1:45 to play two games in full. All in an unhealthy atmosphere, heavy where no one really wanted to play at last and finally without any pleasure.

I've never seen before a beta with so many matchmaking issues. Some people that I know havent been able to play more than 5 eashl games in 4 days...

I get your point Kenu, really... But you guys are doing an amazing job to help us having a crazy entertaining way of playing. You spent hours, days, weeks and monthes to create, tjink, create again and so on to release what is probably the most dynamic league in the world.

But all the job you do men gets just killed by this shitty matchmaking (and it goes like this since the early beta). I'm not even talking about the gameplay actualy, some will like it, some others not, that's the deal. But damned, this matchmaking issue is a 1st grade year matter for a dev.......

This kind of fact could (i say COULD) kill the ECL

Hello everyone !

I wonder how long will we have to endure the incompetence and inability of EA Sports to produce a finished game? The matchmaking is completely bugged to such an extent that it can take almost one hour to get to face an opponent. I do not even talk about server lags.... Last night we (Team France) needed more than two hours to play just two games against Stayhard Stallions cause of matchmaking errors. It's completely unacceptable!

ECL's friends commissioners, you are now close from the publishers of this game, tell them to stop taking us for shitheads with a game sold and not completed, updating tuners that completely pollute the experience of play... And ask them why the hell did they change the matchmaking process?? Evenings like the one you experienced last night make you want only one thing: sell the game

Still sorry to Stayhard Stallions team for this amazing evening, but we unfortunately suffered as you suffered.

A new team will join ECL 7 those next weeks. A team based on french guys from France and Switzerland, it’s name : Team France.

The roster will mix some players from former Lite finalist, Hawks HC, from Cancun Pirates and free agents.

« Our country is not the most dynamic on this soft, nevertheless we can now create a team with some good and very good players from our country, or our language for the swiss guys. We're gonna work hard as soon as the soft will be released to be set for october. About the team name, just a team from France, we don’t pretend to be in any case an official Team France, but we find that quite funny. », explained Gomez_M5, manager of Team France.
