  1. Haven't played it too much yet but here are my first thoughts:

    - Human goalies' movement has slightly got improved, moving towards the shots and rebound control gave me more realistic feeling.

    - Stick blocking is almost impossible, which is a good thing, this will lead in changes in dman builds or even play style.

    - Shots have been boosted, which is in my opinion fine but also goalies should get some kind of boost, not sure yet where but perhaps hockey iq (or movement?) which could in my opinion be boosted for skaters as well to see more beautiful goals.

    - Servers were trash, which is probably not gonna be a problem when the game gets published, but if it is then I wouldn't be surprised if half of the players quit.

I guess the club name is important. 4 ex synergy players form Dead end Kings and get placed in lite.

Nordic Lightning has 2 players from their previous team (where 1 of them got kicked) still get to keep their Elite spot.

Anyway good luck to everybody :)

Yes, some clubs in PRO and Lite should in my opinion as well change places. Elite is quite well structured but other 2 divisions are a small question mark to me.

Yes, what I basically meant about the second issue was just that staff's decision is a little bit mystery for me. Could something else have been done? Was there really no possibility to give some extra days to play the games? Which team actually was more active (I won't give any own opinion before seeing evidence because it would be pointless)?

About the first issue I still think you made a big noise out of a small thing. As long as there's no rule about it the goal is valid, the same would have been with any other team. Positive thing in this was only that it opened discussion about rule changes that are needed. By saying "rules were what they were" I meant that all of us had the chance to read the rule book already in start of the season, we all had a chance to suggest adding what ever we saw would make the rules more fair but still nobody pointed out that the rulebook didn't have anything said about player glitches even thought in first patch those were even more general. Even I did notice there was nothing said about it in the beginning of the season but I just accepted the risk. So basically, if you did read the rules you also accept that we're playing with the rules we have, if something's missing it can be added later but it doesn't have any effect on games that were played before changes were made.

  4. I never understood why SSG made such a big "noise" after that glitch issue earlier in games against FR. Rules were what they were and it didn't even happen in playoffs.

However, in this second issue would be difficult to decide what to do. Difficult case. I would still have waited for some other kind of solution. I'm only wondering how's it possible for both clubs to not get 6 on ice in the given time if there's no maximum club size. Can't be so that only best 6 players of team are playing.

In next seasons could be both teams get DSQ in similar situation.

  5. In my opinion this would be a big step forward. Good job! Only thing that I've been wondering would it be better if that draft cup would be organized as the first tournament after release of each new NHL game because it would be possibly easier to find new players at that time.

  6. I don't see any point in playing as a goalie in NHL17 if it's made as easy as it was in beta. I mean the goals that were made, there were typically no way goalie could have saved them or those could have been saved only with luck. Big part of the goals were deflections, breakthroughts or caused by that goalie wasn't able to see the puck. The problem will be that playing as a goalie isn't so much about skill anymore and it will become so easy that a player who hasn't plaid as a goalie before can become a top goalie with just one day of practice. Is that a positive or a negative thing? Maybe it will make more teams to play 6s if everybody can learn to play G faster or will it just be more difficult to find a goalie that wants to play only that position? And yes, probably most of us were able to see goals scored by goalies' mistakes there but the thing is that there were lots of changes made and all the goalies were probably testing new player types and different kind of playing styles but when the game is not new anymore we won't see those mistakes anymore, almost all the goals will be scored in a way there is no way to make a save. Another thing what I'm afraid off is that if goalies are easier to control, maybe later once players have learnt to defend better with the new improved defence system there will be more difficulties to score goals. But otherwise I was happy about the beta, I like the defence and offence improvements but I just wanted to post my thoughts about the goalie system which was small disappointment for me, still knowing that it was just a beta.
