NHL 23 Technical Test - Let us know what you think!
MonkeyHeadAF commented on OGjahajaha's record in EA Sports NHL
Haven't played it too much yet but here are my first thoughts: - Human goalies' movement has slightly got improved, moving towards the shots and rebound control gave me more realistic feeling. - Stick blocking is almost impossible, which is a good thing, this will lead in changes in dman builds or even play style. - Shots have been boosted, which is in my opinion fine but also goalies should get some kind of boost, not sure yet where but perhaps hockey iq (or movement?) which could in my opinion be boosted for skaters as well to see more beautiful goals. - Servers were trash, which is probably not gonna be a problem when the game gets published, but if it is then I wouldn't be surprised if half of the players quit. -

A new club Dead End is looking for players. Currently the team is open for tryouts for every position but especially one forward (preferably right handed) is needed as well as a backup defenceman (preferably one who's able to play on both sides). Contact me on PSN: MonkeyHeadAF -
How many ECL divisions should there be?
MonkeyHeadAF replied to ahonaattorii's topic in SportsGamer Feedback & Questions
One possible solution (maybe): ECL1 4 divisions ECL2 All teams competing in one division (just like in Spring league) - Best pro/lite/new team gets promoted to Elite if they advanced to semi-finals or something like that. ECL3 4 divisions Could this work? -

New club Reborn Raptors are looking for two defencemen for the off-season and next ECL. Currently we have 3 forwards, 1-2 defencemen and 1 goalie. Our main target is to become a top tier lite team next season. The offensive line has a good chemistry, and we have played one season together already but the defence will be rebuilt before the next season starts. Also, for the offseason we need a RW who can play often it would be a plus if you can play other positions too. A fourth forward and a backup goalie may be needed for the next ECL as well. Perfect team size would be 4 forwards, 3 defencemen and 2 goalies. Contact MonkeyHeadAF on PSN for tryouts. -

Looking for tryouts to find a team for next ECL. Position: LW/C. Contact me here -
Forward: I personally liked the changes that have been made and the games are looking sligtly more like real hockey games. (more passing, puck moving faster?). Player types are in quite good balance now. Defenceman: Felt like mistakes are more costly, right stick won't save you anymore once you get under pressure. Team's positioning plays bigger role than before. Goalie: Breakaways are a bit more difficult, otherwise quite similar to NHL17. However, in my opinion the development after NHL16 has been mostly negative, goalies are forced to play more and more on standing feet, not moving much, which makes the controlling easier but boring (+ pretty much everybody will be playing in a similar way). From other point of view learning to play as goalie is easy so finding a goalie for 6s probably gets easier as well.

Yes, some clubs in PRO and Lite should in my opinion as well change places. Elite is quite well structured but other 2 divisions are a small question mark to me.
