Robin “BuffaViana” Olofsson Wins SCL 1v1 2025 – A Dominant Run to the Title

After weeks of intense matchups, comebacks, and statement wins, it’s official: Robin Olofsson — better known as @BuffaViana — is the SCL 2025: 1v1 Swedish Champion.

With elite puck control, smart decision-making, and a relentless offensive instinct, Robin proved he’s the top individual player in the competition. He sealed the title with a 3–1 series win over one of the toughest opponents in the bracket — O3_DAFA.

After losing both of their previous meetings in the group stage, Robin came into the final focused and composed — and won to close out the series and take the crown.

But who is the man behind the gamertag?

Robin is 37 years old and originally from Tjörn, an island just north of Gothenburg, Sweden. These days, he lives in Skåne, in the southern part of the country. Hockey has been a constant in his life—both on the ice and in the game.

He started playing NHL more actively around NHL 20, and has since become a steady presence in the online community. In recent years, he’s mainly focused on online Versus, especially in an American league where he competes regularly. He’s also dipped into Chel (6v6), which he just recently started exploring more seriously.

While he’s played more HUT than usual this season, Online Versus is where his passion lies — that’s the mode he finds most rewarding and fun.

Congrats on winning the Swedish Championship in NHL 25! How does it feel?
It feels great, of course!

You won almost every match throughout the tournament — did you expect to go all the way and take the title?
I don’t fully agree with that — I think I lost four games in the group stage. And Hellqvist really impressed me in the semifinal, that was way tougher than I expected. Honestly, I never thought I’d win it all, but I was really hoping to be in the mix.

What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses?
That’s a tough one… probably easier for my opponents to answer. But one big weakness is definitely the counterattacks I tend to allow — I give up too many of those.

How would you describe your final series against DAFA?
Wow — super fun. Ever since he beat me twice in the group stage, I’d been hoping for a rematch. I play a lot on feel, so that hunger for revenge gave me a real spark. I have to say, in the final, DAFA played just as well as I did. But you do whatever it takes to win — and some days, the bounces go your way.
