  1. IIHF continues their esports initiative with the eWorld Championships for the second consecutive year. Finland is entering to defend their title, will anyone rise to the challenge this year? The IIHF eWorld Championships will return for a second consecutive year with a format similar to that of the 2022 season. All 22 participating nations will host qualifiers for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to determine two Champions that will represent each country in the final tournament.  Qualifiers will start in late January, and we'll have a new Champion in early March, 2023. The 2023 IIHF eWorld Championship is played in three stages, out of which the first is the National Qualifiers. First are the National Qualifiers, where both a PlayStation and Xbox champion will be determined, these 44 champions in total will make up the national teams for each country. After this, the final tournament starts with the Group Stage, followed by the playoffs, that will finish with the Grand Final. List of Qualifiers: Saturday, January 28th Denmark Austria Sunday, January 29th Hungary France Monday, January 30th Slovenia Poland Tuesday, January 31st Korea Italy Wednesday, February 1st Japan Ukraine Thursday, February 2nd Kazakhstan Norway Friday, February 3rd Slovakia Switzerland Saturday, February 4th USA Czechia Finland (continued on Sunday, February 5th) Sunday, February 5th Canada Latvia Monday, February 6th Great Britain Germany Tuesday, February 7th Sweden   Click your country in order to advance to the registration site, Finnish players are able to qualify right here at SportsGamer.GG. The signups are already open and anyone over 16 years of age from a participating country is available to sign up! To compete a player is required to have a stable internet connection and a console that is able to play the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version of NHL 23, so sign up now in order to help your country go for glory in the 2023 IIHF eWorld Championship!
