  1. The 2022 IIHF eWorld Championship is the second coming of the IIHF into the esports scene and with a newer, expanded concept there is promise for growth in the future. This year, a total of 18 nations will compete for the title. As you'd expect, lots of SportsGamer talent will be featured on ice throughout the tournament and 2020 Champions Finland are eager to defend their title, this time with Erik @Eki Tammenpää and Valtteri @Vattuyy Virtanen in their reigns. Also the former runner-up Sweden are bringing their big guns, with effectively the same duo as last time, in the form of Sebastian @SebbeLarsen86 Larsen and Henrik @Eken45jr Eklund. The two big Nordic nations are definitely expected to be at the very top of the standings, but a challenge will be thrown from across the pond from the USA and Canada teams, who will be represented by David @JrPens Roebuck & @Jos x 10 and Safir @SafirSnipezGOLD Sodouri & Justin @Regs84 Reguly respectively.  Some other strong contenders could be the Latvian team, represented by Kristers @PSchibra Bauers and Juris @JLopatko Lopatko, or the Swiss, Germans or Czech with Sven @Original-SnuS Julmi & Mirco @Tron1x90 Salvi, Luca @cpt_dirtyDangler Knoll & Kevin @Kevinator-373 Wuerterle and Adam @dzouvi Mensik & Pepca @pepcastachurcik Stachurcik.  We're excited to follow along during the weekend for how the nations will stack up against each other!
