Moi! Olen perustanut uuden joukkueen ja tarkoitus olisi pelata FCL ja sitten ECL. Joukkueen nimi on HC Replay ja yritetään päästä liteen. Haetaan puolustajia LD ja RD. Meillä on nyt kasassa 3 hyökkäjää ja 2 maalivahtia jotka tarvittaessa pystyvät myös kentällä pelata. Kokemusta on vaihtelevasti, joukkueessa osa pelannut paljon ja toiset vähän vähemmän. Meillä pakitkin saavat nousta tilanteen, niin katsoessa. Tykätään pelaa simppeliä peliä ja monesti viivaan toimitetaan kiekkoa. Pelataan useampana iltana klo 20-22 ja viikonloppuisin jopa myöhempään

Yes there's always going to be a meta with custom builds. But if you ban the most OP, fun-killing and unreal abilities, the new meta should be a bit more balanced and diverse, right? That's what this whole conversation is about - balancing. IMO even if the new meta is a miss, it's still something new and fresh for the remainder of NHL 23.

I think the idea behind that is to make the game even more versatile when you "force" teams to use different builds. Even though I totally get your point and agree that everyone should play what he likes best.

Rather than banning abilities, maybe limit the amount one team can have. For example: CQ could be used once or twice etcetera. This could also apply to limiting amount of player classes used. Just a thought.

It's just so, so sad that the game is in a state where the community has to have this conversation. But since there hasn't been any balancing to the abilities mid-season, we are left with no other choice. I would ban the most OP ones (the top 3 of the vote) meaning both gold and silver abilities. The general idea of X-Factors is good but at its current state there are abilities that are either unrealistic, kill the fun or force everybody to use it (golden EE) if you don't wanna be in a disadvantage all the time.

if we start playing with this ban, then let's start it properly and remove everything.

Ban them all. Plus also make forwards to play with forward`s build and D’s play with D’s build. Pretty boring when you see both teams playing with 1 playmaker + 4 pmd’s, and everyone more or less with the same builds/traits.
