Obviously I agree that open pro sport should be open by application for everyone. In my post I didn't really refer to the subject of who should be promoted. I might have gotten a bit of tunnel-vision as I didn't realize that the actual problem is that there are empty spots in pro that have to be filled. In the situation you are referring to I completely agree that if a lite team didn't qualify for pro last season it's just too bad. They should indeed be at the same line with other applicants for the pro spot.2 points

With just a few weeks remaining until NHL 18 is out, the time has come to present Dynastys roster for ECL 5. Last season had us one goal away from winning it all... This season, its our time. Like any hopeful contender we start in net by giving you our outstanding goaltending duo: Sandr0hh & Lukkolinho Top-5 goalies in the game as far as we are concerned, both of them. These guys have a bit different playstyle but both are extremely effective in stopping the puck and thats what counts in the end. It has always been Dynastys one of the, if not the most difficult task to decide which one of these beasts gets the playtime, especially in playoffs of course. And I guess fortunately for us, we see no reason that is going to change. NHLGamer ECL stats: Sandr0hh: https://nhlgamer.com/player.php?playerID=338 Lukkolinho: https://nhlgamer.com/player.php?playerID=257 LATER SKATERS! - jumalpeku och Hampus -2 points

Good news for everyone who liked our first offering! We're continuing the podcast with a second episode. We have a topic for it, but I will withhold the details for now. When we'll have it ready is also unknown. Johtaja is running an operation worth hundreds of thousands, so we'll have to find a convenient time in his busy schedule for the recording session.1 point

Name: Lamsa - Dirty Kantor #88 Stick: Left Age: 29 Position: RW (Lamsa: sometimes I would like to try RD, but Supreex wont let me) Lamsa draw his first skate lines on EASHL ice at NHL09. But that was not the real start of his 6vs6 career. When Rusty Blades was formed Dirty Kantor abounded AI-hockey. For all these years Dirty Kantor played as a LW, but team captain made him change to RW. As a RW Kantor has made some real impact. Natural goal scorer and agitated opponents. Lamsa has played 82 regular season games and has scored outstanding 130 goals. How did you find EASHL? Lamsa: Tanski asked me to start EASHL when it was releaed 09. I even changed my Xbox to PS3 just for this. After that I had a years long break until I started again at NHL16 surprise surprise asked by Tanski Why Rusty Blades? Lamsa: Tanski(surprise) asked me to play for his new team. I have not even thought about playing for any other team. We are playing fairly well and it is nice to play here. From this thanks are going to all my team mates. Your main goals for NHL18? Lamsa: To improve my own game and skills. And have a three long "springs" with Rusty. Lots of eSports these days. Why NHL-series from all of the alternatives? Lamsa: Ice hockey is a sport I have always followed. And NHL is a game series I have played since a little Kantor. Fifa would be nice to try too, but the diving button is missing from it. Your role-model from real hockey? Why? Lamsa: No one. Tanski87: Lamsa has told several times that Pat Kane #88 is mentored by him. Facebook.com/rustybladeseashl twitch.tv/rustybladeseashl1 point

The Cup idea sounds awesome! It will give lower-tier teams a chance to show their skill and higher-tier teams maybe an opportunity to give backup players some icetime. I think it also would make a larger part of the community more engaged. Regarding the discussion about placement of new teams. I think that if there even needs to be a discussion the new team should be placed in lite. I'm not advocating for ex. a stacked team being placed in lite and wrecking everyone. But if we look at Fat cats I don't think they have proven such dominance that they should be allowed to skip Lite. There is a huge skill difference in that division and I believe that at least top teams will not be giving Fat cats a free pass. It's just a slap in the face for players trying to grind their way to the big stages. I feel the pain for established players who have to step back to Lite for a season, but if you're really on the level you say, it'll be an easy promotion. Yet again - not saying teams shouldn't be given pro/elite spots, but I just think it's unnecessary to consider if there even needs to be a discussion about it.1 point

Name: kikiukko - Adde Pendikäinen #82 Stick: Left Age: 26 Position: RD/LD Kikiukko the oldest of Kinnu Bros. Kikiukko is good all-around d-man. He has no sparkly moves or rocking hits, but in the other hand he has no weaknesses on the ice. Propably everyone who has played with him and has been on the voice chat does know that this guy is fun to play with. Kikiukko has represented multiple teams in ECL: Vastaanottokeskus, Los Dominos, Murohoki and Old Farts. Now he is part of Rusty Blades like his younger brother kinnune. How did you find EASHL? kikiukko: My younger brothers Kinnune and Kinuz played EASHL and it got mee too year and a half ago. Why Rusty Blades? kikukko: Good team spirit and chance to succeed. Your main goals for NHL18? kikiukko: Get lots of games and help the team. Lots of eSports these days. Why NHL-series from all of the alternatives? kikiukko: I'm better in NHL than CS. Your role-model from real hockey? Why? kikiukko: Atte Pentikäinen wich is my player name also. He is trying 100% every time, but usually plays bad like me. How do you like playing with your brother in the same team? kikiukko: It's fun. Although he does not usually speak a lot.1 point

This conversation hit right to the target! Maybe need to consider who continue ECL talk series in the future.1 point

I don't see a point in placing obviously stacked in lite only to destroy the teams, as it goes completely against the idea of the divisions in the first place. I know the staff underlined the desire for a certain type of longevity with teams, but I see that as merely limiting the competitiveness of the game. However, in order for this type of system to be possible, there has to be a specific way to rate teams and their level. There are various different ways to do that, but the simplest way would be to assign personal ratings to players and when a certain threshold is reached when the player ratings are added up, the team is granted access to Pro if there is room. Say, playing x games in elite the previous season grants a player y rating. On top of that, if he's a forward and finishes in the, say, top-20 in points, he gets z points on top of that. Have rules like this for every position, where the player ratings are in black and white, something tangible to judge a team's ability objectively. This is obviously just a rough example to give you an idea of how a team rating could be achieved through personal performance. I do understand that some players in lite would actually relish the challenge of facing excellent teams in the lowest tier, so their voices should obviously be heard as well.1 point
