Note: This license grants you access to the ECL '26: Spring season. If you already purchased the full ECL '26: Player License, you do not need to purchase the Winter license separately.
Note 2: If you're looking for the ECL '26: Spring Neo Player License, you can find it by clicking this link.
ECL '26: Spring Season Player LicenseThe ECL '26: Spring Season Player License allows participation in the ECL 6v6 and 1v1 leagues for the ECL ‘26: Spring season. This license will grant you access to compete in the most prestigious and biggest competitive NHL esports league in Europe. An ECL season spans over the course of two to three months and guarantees a minimum of roughly 20 games of competition on the 6v6 side*, whereas the 1v1 season adds - at the very least - the opportunity to participate in 10 games in the Spring part of the ECL '26: 1v1 Season.
*Based on the minimum amount of games played in a starting role in the ECL '22 Spring: Core regular season.
ECL Neo will continue being available at no team license fee for teams wishing to get a taste of competitive virtual hockey, whereas all other divisions are subject to a team license fee. The license is exponentially higher at higher levels of competition, given the increased spotlight and additional content around the divisions in question.
Each ECL team can name up to 3 backup players (outside of the primary 6) on their roster that can help the team and play up to 10 official ECL games in total across the Winter and Spring seasons without needing to own a Player License. These backup players will have to "purchase" the free ECL '26: Backup Player License
The Spring Season Player License can be purchased during the season if a backup wants to play more games than expected.ECL Neo players can purchase a lower-priced ECL Neo Player License, however
- To uphold the integrity of ECL Neo as the beginner level, we reserve the right to deny teams to participate in cases where they are clearly above the amateur level, as it could significantly impact the experience of what ECL Neo is intended for.
- The ECL ‘26 Player License or the ECL '26 Spring Season Player License can be purchased by an ECL Neo player if they want to participate in ECL 1v1, benefit from the additional advantages that come with the license, or simply as a form of supporting the league.
License fees will be allocated to fund prize pools and developing operations, such as our broadcasts, live productions and promoting the league.
The following terms and conditions apply to the ECL '26: Spring Season Player License:PURCHASE
- The ECL '26: Spring Season Player License costs 25 € (VAT 25,5% included) per player. For teams wishing to pay all of their player’s licenses at once instead of purchasing individually, you can do so - just make sure you fill out all of the PSN IDs/Gamertags
- The license must be paid before starting your first ECL ‘26 game.
- Teams can pay via bank transfer, credit card (service fees apply) or PayPal (service fees apply)
ECL 1v1 PRIZE POOL
Please refer to the above picture for the ECL '26: 1v1 Prize Pool split. For further information, see this article.
PAYMENTS OF ECL 1v1 PRIZE POOLWinnings of the Spring part of the ECL 1v1 Season will be paid within 90 days of the end of the ECL '26: Spring season.
Any prize money must be collected within 365 days of the specific season’s first payments being paid. Failure to provide the requested information within this time period will result in the forfeit of the prize.
By participating in the league, players accept the terms of payment of prize money
For information about the payments regarding ECL 6v6 divisions, please see the license information of the relevant division license.
REFUNDSIn the case of a team folding, being disqualified or for any other reason not finishing the ECL 1v1 or 6v6 season, there will be no refunds.
In the unlikely event that an ECL season cannot be completed due to SportsGamer’s inability to fulfill its operational responsibilities, players and teams may request a refund for that specific season’s license fees. Refunds do not apply to previous seasons or unrelated business activities.

We want to share an update on the timing of the National Championships (FCL/eHSM, GCL, SCL, and WECL), which have traditionally taken place between ECL seasons. After reviewing the current ECL schedule and our available preparation time, we've decided not to run the National Championships during this spring window. The ECL Winter season started later than originally planned, and with the Spring season needing to begin shortly, there simply isn't enough room to deliver these events at the standard they deserve. Our current plan is to launch the National Championships in September, aligned with the start of the new NHL 27 cycle. We believe that's the right setting for these events — when competitive energy is high, rosters are fresh, and the community is fully engaged. Running them during August also risks lower participation, as it falls during peak summer holiday season for many of our European players. More details on formats, qualification, and schedules will follow as plans are confirmed. In the meantime, if you'd like to contribute to shaping and improving the National Championships — whether through organisation, production, sponsorship connections, or other means — we'd love to hear from you. Reach out to me via Private Message, Discord, or hello@sportsgamer.gg. The registration for ECL '26: Spring is now open, and more details about the ECL season will be shared in the coming days.

Taskubilis (Core) is looking for players. We are looking for 1-2 all-around players (50%/backup) for upcoming ECL Spring. 🏒 Roster is easygoing and the most important thing is to have fun atmosphere. 💪 We are primarily looking for finnish speaking players. 🌍 If you are interested in playing ECL Core with us, please contact Jalitmane10 (PSN) & Juhis_K (PSN). -
Renegade IHC are your ECL '26: Winter – Lite Champions!

The ECL '26: Winter season in the Core division is over — and HC Lisko are champions. Coming in as the #9 seed, nobody was handing them anything. But HC Lisko didn't need anyone to hand them anything — they went out and took it. Their playoff road tells the whole story: a 4–0 dismantling of German Elite Hockey (4) in the semis, and a 4–2 victory over the heavily favored #2 seed HC Punishers in the Finals. The higher seed didn't matter. The bracket didn't matter. When the moments were biggest, Lisko was best. The numbers: Playoff scoring leaders (HC Lisko) Supra_90 (V. Puupponen) — 23 GP, 63P (40G, 23A), 6 GWG, 53.3% S% eipaapaa (T. Lähde) — 25 GP, 58P (22G, 36A), 7 GWG, 21% S% Zambouni_ (S. Heikkilä) — 25 GP, 53P (13G, 40A), 7 GWG, 20.6% S% Vertti91 (V. Komulainen) — 25 GP, 32P (8G, 24A) Tero__Nuppi (P. Lepola) — 25 GP, 21P (1G, 20A) Laspar: The backbone of a championship run 25 GP, 20–3–2 84.62% SV%, 1.92 GAA 4 shutouts Twenty wins. Four shutouts. Laspar (L. Koos) was the anchor HC Lisko needed, and he delivered it across 25 playoff games. That kind of consistency over a long postseason run doesn't happen by accident. HC Lisko's road to the championship Semifinals: HC Lisko (9) 4–0 German Elite Hockey (4) Finals: HC Lisko (9) 4–2 HC Punishers (2) ECL '26: Winter – Core Champions roster (HC Lisko) Skaters @eipaapaa (T. The ECL '26: Winter season in the Lite division is over — and Renegade IHC are champions. Coming in as the #2 seed, they carried the expectations that come with that tag and delivered on every single one of them. A 4–2 semifinal win over Tinted Visors, followed by a dominant 4–1 Finals victory over Wida — clean, clinical, and convincing. This wasn't a team that scraped through. Renegade IHC looked like the best team in the division for most of the season, and when the playoffs came, they proved it. The numbers don't lie The offensive engine for Renegade IHC was firing on all cylinders throughout the playoff run. Foppatofflan and MartindalexC combined for over 100 points between them, while NotzPanthers quietly put up one of the most productive two-way playoff performances in the division. When everyone on your top six is contributing at this level, opponents simply run out of answers. The numbers: Playoff scoring leaders (Renegade IHC) Foppatofflan (A. Liljegren) — 20 GP, 75P (26G, 49A), 11 GWG, 37.1% S% MartindalexC (C. Martindale) — 20 GP, 57P (22G, 35A), 12 GWG, 26.2% S% NotzPanthers (J. Holland) — 20 GP, 57P (30G, 27A), 16 GWG, 26.3% S% KnightK10 (K. Knight) — 20 GP, 16P (5G, 11A) Komir_90 (M. Salvi) — 20 GP, 15P (1G, 10A) Calxm86: Steady when it mattered most 20 GP, 16–4–0 86.18% SV%, 1.76 GAA 6 shutouts Calxm86 (C. Mcateer-Ellis) was a consistent presence throughout 20 playoff games, posting numbers that gave his teammates the platform to go to work offensively. Sixteen wins across a full playoff run is as reliable as it gets. Renegade IHC's road to the championship Semifinals: Renegade IHC (2) 4–2 Tinted Visors (14) Finals: Renegade IHC (2) 4–1 Wida (6) ECL '26: Winter – Lite Champions roster (Renegade IHC) Skaters @Foppatofflan (A.
