If you voted that the 14th is too late, can you please write in the comments what date you would prefer and how long of a time do you think we should give the teams to get accustomed with the site and adding their roster?

How are you finding the blog posts btw - are they easy to find, or is it hard to notice when there is a new post?

Edit: I can see that the screenshots look pretty low quality. I literally used MS Paint to crop and save them, as I wasn't on my own computer. That may be the reason.

Good Job Kenu and Lurkins! I voted yes for 14th December. I like the timeplan.

I think we could start a week earlier, that's 3 days to setup your team then. Should be enough time for everyone.

I agree, if all teams are on their toes despite this little silent period in between.

We can definitely start earlier, we've been ready to go for weeks now and judging by what can be gleaned from the site, it looks great. If we start on the 14th we'll barely have time to get going before a potential christmas break - plus people are usually traveling to visit friends and family so it will make it that much harder to setup games. Kenu, if you feel the site will be ready on the 4th, I see no reason to give us players a full 10 days to coordinate - we can do better then that. I strongely suggest we start around the 8th-10th at the latest to make sure the league is off to a good start before christmas.

Nice kenu !! Yeah i voted "its too late" because if we start 14th, christmas break comes too soon... so maybe 7th would be better so we can play couple of weeks and then go and have christmas in peace ?

I agree with two earlier. It would be fun to play few games before christmas break. Anyway I'm fine with both choises. 

I voted "yes" but 7th December will work fine too.

@Kenu Will those 4 groups be drawn live by the way? I think that would be one important step to avoid complaints about groups being unfair (which they will inevitably be in this first tournament)

@gzell60: I would prefer to do it with a random generator, while I do understand the dramatic "names drawn from a hat" aspect. With a random generator it's truly random and I can try to make some functionality so we can still do a live stream or something while we do it and announce the teams in group name by name. Of course there might be people yelling "rigged" then, but to be honest, I wouldn't even know how to rig it, as I don't know most of the teams.

I definitely see the drama aspect of it and would like to have some tension and anticipation instead of just a list that we spit out.

In PlayStation 4 players can easily save the game with a share button. There is also players who have game capture devices etc including me. I think there is a lot of players who are interested to watch replays.

Sorry I didn't notice your comment earlier! We won't have an upload option, as you can upload to YouTube, but we will have the option to submit your YouTube-video ID, which allows us to embed your video to our website.

Shoutbox... yes! I was going to say that we already have that, but it's true it's only in the community side at this stage. We'll see how we can implement it. I would prefer to have the same shoutbox everywhere. If we are doing a live stream, then we can embed the Twitch chat.

Random generator? No seedings? so then its a minor possibility of having all the strongest teams all together in the same group, and then it would become a not so realistic and exiting playoff after that? I strongly recommend to seed at least some of the teams in some way.

Anyways, I guess partial seeding could be done. Not all teams have played enough games (especially 6vs6) to be able to be measured. But sure, we could consider putting the known top-teams in different groups. Keep the suggestions coming.

Jimi and I think someone else had already suggested using the 6v6 leaderboard for seeding, then using randomizer. It's not worse than devising seeding based on who you think is better than who.

Yes, this might be the best idea. 1/3 of the teams would be seeded based on leaderboards and rest would be randomized.

Any thoughts from others on whether it should be all-time or monthly leaderboards?

I think monthly maybe.. because teams has changed and the roster has changed with many teams..maybe thats the best option

Not every team has been playing 24/7 since for example our team has been only waiting for ECL to play because our teams only motivation to play is ECL. I believe we are searching the best 6v6 teams to seed, not teams which have played the most this month. Basically if you want to be TOP-20 in monthly leaderboard, you just have to grind games. It doesn't matter if you win, all you need is to play for example 100 games and win around half of them and voilá you are TOP-20. And you can correct me but I think that doesn't make you ''TOP-20 team of Europe''.

EDIT: Actually checking TOP-20 monthly leaderboard now. You don't even need to win half of the games to get into it. Around 40% winning rate will make you into TOP-20, so I find this question very amusing. Of course if you want this kind of teams to be seeded, be my guest.

I dont know what lists you look at but my list looks pretty much equal to all time aswell with winning %

Yes except you aren't in TOP-20 All-time, only in monthly  Now we can see why you want to use monthly

Maybe, by the exception for removing american teams from seeding and its not really my concern id rather play the tougher teams from get go.

No. The point was that you said that the both lists look almost the same and appereantly they don't. Anyways however this goes it's same by me, all I want is to play.
