  1. Hey NHL Gamers,April 25th marks a very special day for everyone of us, as we just passed an astonishing milestone: 1000 members!1000 members, not even half a year after we launched our first European Championship League on PlayStation 4. It's a pleasure to see such massive support from our community. No time for celebrations though, as we want to keep moving forward with the website and it's offerings (Xbox gamers, we are looking at you!). Do you remember our interview with Dean Richards, General Manager of the EA NHL series, which we held last September ahead of the NHL 16 launch?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmxTYoIQ7RYNot only do we want to provide you with great NHL leagues and tournaments, but with in-depth coverage of everything NHL and exclusive content like above. At this time, we are forging plans for the coming months ahead of the NHL 17 launch - and you can help us making it happen by subscribing to our official social media channels:https://www.facebook.com/NHLGamer/https://www.twitter.com/nhlgamerCOMhttps://www.youtube.com/nhlgamerofficialhttps://www.twitch.tv/nhlgamertwitch/Every single 'Like' or subscription helps us grow and get more attention to reach our ambitious goals. We are very dedicated to this project, and we really appreciate the daily input we receive from you guys.Let's see what the future holds in store for us - we are definitely looking forward to it! As a side-note: If you think you've got what it takes to produce content for us, whether it be in the form of text, video or art, please get in touch with me and we'll get in touch. 2. I moved your topic to the NHL 16 area, so it gets more attention. I think "Other" is supposed to be for new hockey games like 2K or else Also, is this a real team logo? If not, we have custom EASHL logos (and probably jerseys) back again. On top, we can probably customize our arenas to some degree:

  3. I just was on my way here to make a suggestion for draft style summer cup, but @Billy44205 beat me to it. We could make it that people themselves enlist for summer cup from what point we pick/choose/nominate captains for teams. Preferably as much randomness and ofcourse when some people aren't so comfortable with some people, then draft should kick this kind of problems out of question I'd say that when we know number of players ready to commit for summer cup, then we can think about amounts of teams and season structure Edit: Also this kind of draft and "scrambled" teams would get people to know each other better and maybe find new community friends

  5. Hey NHL Gamers, As you may have noticed from our previous news article, EA Sports released a trailer for NHL 17 today. In case you missed it, we've embedded it below for you! We have already taken apart the first 'Vision' trailer for the upcoming NHL 17, and we made a few interesting findings - which we want to share with you! Please note: You can click on each screenshot to see them in full size! 1) Custom EASHL logos and jerseys are back The screenshot above shows an unknown team logo, which suggests it is a self-made one for EASHL. As it does not make sense to use custom logos with existing jerseys (licensing etc.), we highly expect custom jerseys to be back, too. 2) Customizable arenas Above screenshots show different arena designs with the same fantasy logo on the right hand side, which makes us believe that EASHL teams will be able to customize their own arenas to some extent. At a quick glance the screenshots may look like they are the same one over and over again, but when you look closely, you can see a difference in seat colors. 3) Tie-ups could return The trailer includes a longer snippet of 2 players motion-capturing tie-ups in front of the net. Considering they have been scratched in the PS4 and Xbox One versions of NHL 15 and 16, they could finally return for NHL 17. 4) New 'Trade in' feature for Hockey Ultimate Team The above screenshot shows a menu screen of Hockey Ultimate Team, titled 'Gold Coach Trade In'. The description says: "Complete this set by turning in any 10 Gold Coach items for a Gold Trophy Pack, which contains at least 1 Gold Trophy." We believe that EA created a new trade-in system that allows you to trade existing cards, which you draw from packs or bought off the auction house, for new packs of the same class. However, we are unsure what Gold Trophies are or allow you to do. 5) World Cup of Hockey is included We were hoping and expecting it would be in the game, but here is the confirmation - NHL 17 features the new World Cup of Hockey! 6) New celebrations The trailer concludes with several snippets of new goal celebrations, which means they replaced / updated some of the old ones or also added a few new ones. 6) New menus The game menu has received what we'd consider a major facelift. It looks very sleek, clean and what could hopefully result in a more smooth user experience; as we all know, the previous iterations of the menus have been quite sluggish to use. Apart from new animations or updated training arenas for EASHL, this is all we were able to catch. We will keep you updated with future developments about NHL 17, and expect major news to drop during the next E3 which takes places in Los Angeles from June 14 to June 16! What did you think about the trailer? Did you notice something we didn't? Please let us know in the comments below!

  6. Yes it seriously could be EASHL logo so like @The_Alpha_Furyan said, customization is back after they got the game itself rolling on its own wheels. Now when/if they'll bring the customization back, I hope it concerns whole EASHL and not just only arenas or what kind of shoulder pads your player has on. I kind of like this NHL 16's player creating, with player builds built in already, but then again it's all about being creative and so on. Would be great if these built in player builds had some flexibility, like how big/strong your playmaker is or how good or bad your offensive d-man is in the own zone. But if I had to choose from built in builds or create-a-player, my money goes to creating your own player with certain attributes that your build gives to you. But then again there should never be some "fake" or "hidden" attributes that are there, but you dont really need them in EASHL. If someone doesnt know what I'm talking about; I've heard lots of stuff about wrist shot accuracy, agility, balance, acceleration, stick checking, deking and so on, that does it really matter that if your acceleration is 90 or 75, for example. As a 110% D-man I really hope that tie-ups in front of the net are a) back and b) they work!! Sucks that you cant keep your own guy in front, when your #1 job is to keep your net clean and no, all you can do in this game is block the shot, stick check or body check if you have the guts... Five months of waiting ahead... oh boy, oh boy.

  8. So here's my take on this Summer Cup thing. I think teams are not active in Summer because a few guys are away and even if like half the team is still willing to play it's not enough to play 6's. I also think Summer Inc was a great thing which allowed my clubless ass to play with Oodap, Supremski, Terasniska etc. Basically I really enjoyed playing with new people (especially the excellent ones) even if games meant nothing. Lastly, I know it's Summer and no one wants a tight schedule in Summer damnit! With all that in mind I came up with this concept: - I need a small-ish amount of team captains, like maybe 4 or 8 individuals. So that would make for rather big teams. Maybe those guys are tournament admins. - Instead of teams, individuals sign up for the Summer Cup. - Teams are devised by snake draft, to add a dimension of mixing teams up. - Every team makes the playoffs. The goal of this tournament being less about competing and more about killing time and fun, I think it's ok. This is very much a work in progress and I have not addressed any of the boring techincal rules shit, but you get the gist of it. It's something fresh, not too bothersome, admittedly not so competitive but... I dunno. But you're on to something Sile, I think.

  9. Hey All, I'm looking for a (mature-ish) team to play with in the EASHL and ECL. I have played OTP since 08 and EASHL since 09 and play for the team, not for personal success. I prefer the RW position, but could be interested in other positions as well. I speak fluent Finnish, Swedish (Moomin) and English. 10. You should also ban koodi from all the upcoming tournaments. Im pretty sure that he planted ideas to pairiis head and hypnotized rest of the team captains. That being said, i think that penalties are too hard and what it comes to walkovers in the rest of the games is pretty unfair to the teams who played against them and lost. Peace.
